1. I placed a black and white effect over the shot
2. Using the brightness and contrast tool I edited the shot to give a high contrast look
3. I then copied and pasted the clip and placed the 'vertical flip' tool on one of the shots
4. Then I placed the mirror tool on both shots.

For the second shot in the footage below I also placed the shot in reverse.
